Use this procedure any time a user gets a new phone, is locked out of Microsoft Authenticator, needs to clear saved MFA credentials, or needs their MFA credentials reset.

Steps to migrate or reset the Authenticator app:

  1. Go to https://www.office.com/?auth=2 and click on your profile, then select "View account."
  2. Navigate to the "Security info" tab and delete the old authentication method.
  3. Click "Add sign-in method" and select "Authenticator app."
  4. Download the Microsoft Authenticator app on the new mobile phone. Open the app and select "Add work or school account," then scan the QR code.
  5. Click "Next" and scan the QR code generated on your PC from the new phone.

Note: For Concur MFA specifically, log in to Concur, download an authenticator app of choice, and scan the QR code shown on the Concur sign-in page, then enter the resulting 6-digit code to sign in.
